A total of 94 CMF-funded projects won 201 prizes in 20 prestigious Canadian award ceremonies during 2015-2016. Outside Canada, 29 CMF-funded projects received nominations of which 11 won prizes in eight international competitions.
English-language Drama projects that garnered the most recognition, in Canada and on a global scale were The Book of Negroes, Schitt’s Creek, Orphan Black and Degrassi. In the French-language market, the series Les Beaux Malaises, 19-2, Nouvelle Adresse and Unité 9 captured the most awards
